I’d like to talk about the birthday gift I gave to my mom 2 years ago.
I gave her 24 roses, 18 of which were red and the rest were white. Because my mom gave birth to me when she was only 24, and the 18 red roses means that in my eyes, she would be forever 18 years old, forever young and beautiful, you know.

Since it was a gift for my mom, I shouldn’t ask my mom for any money. And I couldn’t get a part-time job, ‘cause no one would hire a girl at my age. So all I could do is to save my pocket money little by little. At first, I tried to skip lunch or dinner, but it turned out it was impossible ‘cause I always had a good appetite. And then I changed my means of transportation to school. Usually I would take the taxi, but those days I just took the bus to save money, even in horrible weather.
